wednesday . . .

The past few days . . . well . . . they slipped away from me - had a huge to do list of which very little has been accomplished :) I think I went into a pregnancy induced "coma" of sorts - just crazy tiredness & exhaustion. I did manage to make this recipe for dinner Monday night - it is a fave of all members of my family (yes, even Ryan ate it) and is super delicious. We found it years ago when we did the "low carb" thing - I usually still make some white rice to serve it over (totally defeats the low carb). I also use turkey sausage & lean ground beef to lighten it up a bit. Perfect for cool, fall evenings - try it :)

I am LOVING the onset of fall . . . the other night we made a fire and did some snuggling up while watching a movie . . . this morning I awoke to some chilly weather, which I LOVE!!!! I was able to wear pants & a wrap/cardigan of sorts - love it!!! Speaking of fall . . . looking for a little fall visual eye candy . . . some favorite pics I found over on Etsy. On the scrappy front . . . I still have lots of projects to share . . .just waiting on reveals on their respective sites. I am finishing up my Magpie layout today - it needs a bit of fixing as I accidently stabbed myself with my needle while stitching a border - never realized it until I later saw the smear of blood across the side of the page. I will have to get creative on covering this up :) Anyways - I do have one layout to share today!!!

Pam from My Creative Scrapbook sent me this fabulous kit for October - full of BoBunny goodies & this awesome mini chalkboard & ruler . . .

Happy October to everyone - I can't believe it is here already!!! Ryan was super excited to pull out his candy corns from our Halloween Countdown Calendar today :)

We have been having LOTS of rainy days . . .

but finally this afternoon some nice, cool, breezy fall weather broke through :)

As I mentioned earlier this week I have been doing lots of scrapping these days - restless sleepy nights so I end up going to bed late when my body is just about ready to drop . . . that way I am really too tired to feel uncomfortable & play the game of toss & turn :)

I finished up my last Guest DT project for A Million Memories . . . the September kit had such a wonderful softness to it. In my most recent TJ Maxx shopping adventure I found this adorable distressed frame for $3.99 & dressed it up a bit with some goodies from the kit . . .

A BIG thanks to Michelle at A Million Memories for allowing me the awesome opportunity to work with their kits!!!!

I also finished up my last assignment for Your Scrapbook Stash - I have been hoarding a particular mini album for a while now. It is a corrugated cardboard album by the etsy store SpectacularStuff - a mere $2.00 people & SO VERY STURDY!!!!! I am totally ordering some more of these - they are awesome & she has tons of other cool albums & chipboard goodies in her shop - check her out!!! I combined this album & TONS of fab Bella Blvd goodies to create a "Dates To Remember Planner" . . .

Pheww . . . lots of pics . . . :) I had SO MUCH FUN creating this & want to give a big shout out to Erica & the Your Scrapbook Stash store for all the fabulous Bella Blvd goodies sent out for me to work with & for the AWESOME STASH CASH she provided to readers of my blog!!!

I am still working away with all sorts of projects - last minute items I am finishing up before we head out of town tomorrow again for the beach :) Tonight I am super excited to share a layout I made using the September kit from A Million Memories. I am always looking for new techniques to try on layouts - I don't remember where I saw these little 3D balls - but they are super easy to make. Maybe a tutorial in the future????

I love the way they so easily fanned out & resembled little hanging balloons or lanterns - fun stuff :)

Hello everyone!!! A BIG THANKS to all of you for your sweet comments & well wishes yesterday :) I finished up my third layout for Your Scrapbook Stash last night. Once again I used the adorable Midterm line by Bella Blvd. I was in love with the patterned paper that had all the talk bubbles & decided to cut a bunch of them out to create a fun border . . .

Below is a close-up on the title work. Once again I added some pen detail to the letters & had fun mixing up a bunch of the stickers from the Alpha + Bits sheet :)

A quick close-up on the border - before I began gluing these down, I drew a square on the page to help me in placing each talk bubble & to provide some pop amongst the talk bubbles.

One more close-up on the corner of my photo - Bella Blvd offers so many awesome sticker embellishments within each line - their Bella + Bits sheets are a must-have!!

Busy as a bee this week . . . did lots of scrapping & headed out yesterday for the beach. A little getaway with my brother & Ryan :)

I don't have any idea where my son got this recent fascination with superheroes - I never brought them up, never showed him any cartoons or books about them prior, and it was during the summer so he wasn't introduced to it by friends at school - who knows??? Here's a quick close-up on the title - love these Bella Blvd letters - backed them with just a bit of patterned paper & then added some pen detail :)

I really like the design on this one - maybe I will turn it into a sketch :) Love these layered circles . . .
