Today is the day - it has been 6 weeks since I have seen this little one inside me & I am hoping & praying everything is okay. I think the next 2 hours before we leave for the doctor's will drag on FOREVER . . . trying to put it out of my mind but it is pretty difficult. Justin is not really helping out with distracting me since he just had oral surgery again this morning (for like the 100th time this year!!). He has such problems with his teeth - fingers crossed my children don't end up with his teeth troubles :) Guess what I did this weekend??? Scrapped!!! It was wonderful & fun & relaxing. My husband was out of town with Ryan from Saturday afternoon until Sunday evening. Saturday my mom, sister, & sister-in-law came over to scrap with me & I did a little more on Sunday by myself. I only finished 2 (I am a s-l-o-w scrapper people - don't judge!!!) but I really liked both of them. Before I share though, I wanted to post the projects I did for my Jillibean Soup Guest design spot - you may have seen them HERE, but if not, I thought I'd share :)
First up - my favorite project out of all of them - the HOPE frame . . .
I finally took the time to really play with these rolled flowers & I LOVE them - so much fun!!! Oh & the heart in the center of the button - one of their canvas flowers simply cut apart - instant hearts people - try it yourselves!!
Next up - The Secret Beach . . .
Okay - I have definitely used this design before - I should really make a sketch from this :) I LOVE the softness of these browns & greens and the misting makes it feel so "airy" :)
Next - Sweet Summer Days . . .
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the journaling sprouts & of course the FAB corrugated cardboard letters!!
And finally - a quick card for that special someone :)
I jut LOVE layering up all their stickers, sprouts, and tags!!!
Thanks so much Jill for such a wonderful opportunity - I LOVED guest designing for JB Soup & can't wait to see all your new products coming out at CHA!!! Already they have revealed these . . .
and these . . .
How ridiculously adorable - right???
Now I mentioned scrapping this weekend . . . well I just bought the mid-season release by Jillibean Soup called Summer Squash - LOVED all the bright, cheery colors!!! Here is what I came up with . . .
A quick close-up . . .
See that cloud??? All I did was cut one of the canvas flowers - who knew a flower could be a cloud :)
And check this tag/title work out . . .
The flower was created just like the rolled ones in the hope frame, but I punched a scallop circle to begin with & then cut the spiral with a pair of scalloped scissors. The 2 little hearts - those FAB canvas flowers again!!!
I will post my second layout tomorrow - I finally used one of my Studio Calico kits!!! Can't wait to share :)
Thanks so much for checking in everyone - I will leave you with a new favorite song of mine - although Ingrid Michealson is always my front runner when it comes to music - I LOVE many more artists including Sara Bareilles - here is her new song - check it out!!! (Be sure to turn off my music player in the right sidebar first).
Have a fab Monday!!! ttyl - julie
