I want to begin by sending out a BIG thank you for all the warm wishes & congrats in my last post - it was so nice of all of you to stop by & comment :) I can't believe it is already almost the middle of November - the year is flying by so quickly!! I have tried to get my "rear-in-gear" so to speak & go back to running daily. Once upon I time I ran 4 - 5 miles a day & was about 15 lbs. thinner - but recently - well - that is not the case. This was all jump-started by a wedding this weekend & the upcoming struggle to find something to wear - probably should have started sooner than 5 days before the wedding - right??? Anyways - we live basically in the woods but we have a very long driveway that leads to a small neighborhood. I have been waking up at 5:30 the past 2 days - still a bit dark out - and today I was almost run over by some strangle animal coming out of the woods - bigger than a fox/raccoon - smaller than a deer. Honestly, it looked like a furry pig - needless to say - I headed back inside to the treadmill :) Sometimes you have to err on the side of caution - not looking to be attacked by a strange animal in the wee hours of the morning :) Anyways - my little excitement for the day :) On to some scrappy stuff . . .
I rarely scrap pages about myself and/or friends but this gorgeous November kit Pam put together over at My Creative Scrapbook just screamed for pics of me & my best friend :) Love the black, white & teal combo & especially loved the transparencies!!
Here is the sketch I came up with for their November kit:
And here is my sample:
And a few close-ups to show the details - love the effect of the paper tearing around the circle :)
My Creative Scrapbook will be posting a challenge using this sketch later today - make sure to check it out in the challenge section of their forum :)
I also had the fortune to work with Mimi's adorable November kit over at That Scrappy Girl - full of Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg goodies - this one simply made me smile :)
I created this multi-pic sketch for their kit this month -
And here is what I came up with . . .
A little detailed pic of the journaling . . .
That Scrappy Girl is running a challenge on their blog with this sketch during the month of November & there is an awesome Cosmo Cricket prize - check it out here :)
I will be back tomorrow with some more DT work, sketches, and challenges to share :)
