Gotta love the "sleepy hands" :)
Ryan is starting to settle in as big brother - but it has been quite a week - lots of ups & downs - happy moments & lots of tantrums :) I'm constantly trying to reassure him but at the same time set some boundaries - he is definitely pushing the envelope with behavior but I know all this will work out - it will just take time. I have caught moments of him really trying to spend time with little Nicholas - but being that he is quite the napper right now - I'm sure he is not the most exciting playmate :) Ryan did enjoy setting up his playmat & helping him test it out :)
We had a family pizza party the other night - Ryan & I made hats & a banner - daddy & him went shopping for all the ingredients :) I was encouraged when Ryan wanted to make Nicholas a hat too - check out my 2 guys :)
And me - I am hanging in here - a bit tired but less tired than I was pregnant believe it or not :) I have already shed off 30 lbs in a week which sounds absolutely ridiculous (and yes I am eating) - that just goes to show you how much water I retained towards the end. It was the same with Ryan - I blew up like a balloon the last month or two - so much swelling. Anyways - still a long way to go to get back to "me" but I am saving that worry for another day :) I did get in a bit of scrapping the other day (gasp) - it felt good - unfortunately I can't share as it was for some DT assignments. I do have a few older assignments to share . . . SEI just featured a layout I created for my January assignment - totally fitting for this week as it is titled "Big Brother" featuring SEI's Monsterville collection :)
Another close-up on my doodled border - don't have a sewing machine people - no worries - a little faux stitching doodled border is a fun way to add a little something to your layout :)
I also have a few layouts from A Page 4 All Seasons to share!! First up is my layout for the February "All the Rage" autoship club. This one features the Lovebirds collection by Fancy Pants. Love the quote border strip I used as a title - "Love doesn't make the world go round. Love makes the ride worthwhile." - so true!!! If you are interested in purchasing this layout - check out all the details HERE.
I also created an extra holiday layout that is up for sale. It features the Fancy Pants Traditions collection . . .
This is up for sale as well - check out all the details HERE.
Hope all is well with each & every one of you - a HUGE thanks for all your sweet comments on the last post - I feel blessed to have such kind, caring online friends out there & truly read each & every comment!! Thank you all!!!
ttyl - julie :)
P.S. I am working on a new collection of scrappy tunes - click on the player in the sidebar to listen if you'd like - there is one song with a curse word - but I like it anyway - please don't be offended :) Enjoy!!
Your sons are both beautiful. Do take care and I love your big brother layout.
ReplyDeleteNicolas is perfect!!! and what sweet photos of the 2 boys together!!! loving the layouts!!!! just awesome!!

I am just bursting with joy for you Julie! So happy you finally have another little one to hold in your arms. Ryan and Nicholas will be fast friends one day...just not quite yet, don't worry, it takes time but it does happen. Sniff little Nicholas for me, I sooooo miss that sweet baby smell:)
ReplyDeleteI am SO happy for you, Julie!!! LOVE the photos!! Both your boys are just precious!!! And yes, Ryan and Nicholas will be the best of friends!! Babies aren't so much fun quite yet (for the little kids). Personally, I miss the itty bitty baby! I can completely relate to feeling better, even though sleep deprived! Hospital staff was bawling me out for being up and walking around so much after Ben was born. But, I felt 100% better!! I could breath!!! The day I went home, I straightened the house and did alittle laundry!! LOL Of course, I love the page!! It's perfect!! Big hugs to all of you!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable group of boys you have there!! I just love the Big Brother layout, fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteOh Julie, I have been reading your blog for sometime now, and like Wendy Williams says...I think of you as a friend in my head!! I too had a baby(8 months ago) and his name is Nicholas. My boys are 6 years apart but we had the same issues with Alex. But now Nicholas and Alex are the besst of friends. Alex waked up every morning and wants to hug and kiss his baby brother. Things will get better soon!!
ReplyDeleteOh congratulations Julie!! He is gorgeous!!! My little one just turned 2 in November. I miss that baby stage (me not solidly sleeping, not so much) LOL
ReplyDeleteCongrats again to you & your family!

Congratulations!!! Nicholas is adorable. Good luck with the transition with Ryan. Happy to hear all went well.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you are all doing well. Remember Julie you must capture those tantrum moments too---they make for good lo's and good blackmail material later-LOL!!!
ReplyDeletecongrats! He is gorgeous!!! and they look so cute together!
ReplyDeleteFirst off I must say Nicholas is just adorable and Ryan will grow to appreciate and love him more than he probably does at this moment. It is hard to go from being the only child to being a Big Brother.
ReplyDeleteLove the layouts especially the Big Brother one.
Aww...what sweet sweet photos!
ReplyDeleteJulie, your little ones are so adorable....so happy Ryan is settling in as a big brother! I love the sweet "sleepy hands" too! And what fun pizza making pictures, too. I also am amazed that you already scrapped!! Gorgeous layouts! Take it easy girlie....
ReplyDeleteAww, Julie! I didn't get here to post since you've had the lil' man! He's just too sweet and the brothers are as cute as can be! Congratulations on your beautiful new blessing!
ReplyDeleteYour little man is such a cutie! I'm sure big brother will adjust fine, it just takes a little time. I always love seeing your pages. The doodling on the edges of your scrap pieces on your pages. Thanks for sharing all your cute ideas :) Enjoy that little guy!
ReplyDeleteThat little hat is just adorable and so sweet for big brother to think of that! Your boys are just precious and the layouts are pretty awesome too ;)
