HELLO!!!!! Yes, I AM alive :) But last week was definitely a disaster, as the kids & I all came down with a HORRIBLE stomach bug :( Luckily I had a weekend away already planned for this past weekend, so after getting the kids & myself through the sickness, I was able to break away with some friends & family & spend the weekend scrapping at the ocean :) I realized the other day I have been seriously slacking on my picture taking, I guess this time of the year there are not too many events going on & the weather isn't always the best to be outdoors - thus, fewer pics :( Also, Ryan is not as willing of a participant as he once was. Nicholas however, still will let me take some shots, when he is not on the go that is. We are not yet walking, but lots of cruising & exploring :) Recently I've noticed a little culprit digging into Ryan's lunch bag these days . . .
caught red-handed :)
Lots of scrappy to share - get ready for overload!!!
First up, two more Jillibean Soup CHA projects featuring Sweet & Sour soup - love this line :)
I also just had 2 cards up on the JB blog the other day featuring a mix of old & new lines - I'm enjoying card-making these days (just a bit - no worries though, pages will always be my "thing").
Being away this weekend gave me the chance to play a bit with some other papers. I recently purchased the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan line & just loved it. It was hard to tell online but in person - just gorgeous. This pic is from our Deep Creek Lake excursion a few years ago. I still want to add some journaling on this one. The cool thing is I was pregnant with Nicholas here, but didn't know it yet :)
I also brought along my new Noel Mignon Homespun kit - seriously gorgeous stuff in this one & totally packed. Even though it wasn't "beach-themed" the color scheme was perfect for this pics of Nicholas last summer :)
Off to clean but still have more to share from the weekend. Be back soon!! Hope all is well with everyone!!!
Glad to hear you are feeling better! Our family ended up all getting the stomach bug about a month ago. It was terrible!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with every single project you've done! I especially adore the "you&me" one. I really like how you did the title. Seriously? Could your work be any more inspiring? :)
I am glad you were able to get away!!! And that all are better. :) I have been keeping up on your projects at the JBS blog. ;) I LOVE that last one with Nick!! I love the editing you did as well to the photos. He is getting so big. Well, with one child out of the house, the other if full teenager mode and the youngest, like Ryan and not the most cooperative... gets hard to get photos here! What I am going to do?? I am running out of photo subjects! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad y'all are feeling better! We've had the sickies in our house too. We are going on day 11 here of it! :-0 A weekend away at the ocean sounds like bliss! LOVE your layouts and cards. Love the 'caught red handed' photo!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fabulous projects as always Julie! :) Glad to hear everyone's feeling better...
ReplyDeleteI just discover your blog and I am particular impressed by your scrap!!!
