Alright - I will be drawing a winner for yesterday's MME Halloween goodies tomorrow - so if you haven't commented on yesterday's post get to it - you have another twenty minutes :) I so enjoyed reading all your traditions - it gave me lots of good ideas for my own growing family :) Thanks so much for sharing!!
On to my top 10 picks of the CHA Summer season (#6 - #10 - in no particular order) . . .
#6 The Girls' Paperie - Okay first of all the women behind the designing Margie Romney-Aslett - seems like an absolute sweetheart - I only know of her through her blog - but she writes in such a way that you feel you know her - reminds me of a down to earth blogger like Stephanie Howell - love her too :) Anyways - I wasn't sure about her first 2 collections but once I saw them in person - I fell in love. Heavenly vintage - but not too over the top vintage - just enough for me :) She has 2 new collections coming out . . .
Toil & Trouble . . .
#7 Echo Park Paper - This one is a newbie - but they are coming out with a collection monthly - how awesome is that??? I have only played with their first collection Summertime (which is fabulous by the way) but I have Walk in the Park and Life Is Good & Happy Halloween are on their way to me as we speak :)
#7 - Jillibean Soup - Okay - if you know me you know I LOVE Jillibean Soup :) I have every single collection they have made & have followed them since the beginning. I was fortunate enough to be a guest designer for them last month & even had the honor to have them use one of my projects in their booth at CHA!! Their products keep getting better & better :) JBS came out with some adorable new embellishments this go around but what really caught my eye were 2 of their collections . . .
Atomic Soup (click here) - did you know I taught science - yep - I did - only for 2 years then I switched to math :)
**sorry no pics for these but for some reason all of their graphics were coming up too small**
#9 October Afternoon - Okay - I love them - I mean you can't go wrong - a great mix of color and distressed - just perfect for me who likes to dabble in a bunch of styles :) And the stickers - LOVE them :) Can't wait to see the reveal of their other new lines . . . for now here is Seaside . . .
#10 Cosmo Cricket - Okay - who doesn't love Cosmo Cricket - totally cute & fun & whimsical - I don't think anyone would ever consider me cutesy - just not a descriptor for me - but at least my pages can be when I use these goodies :) And I LOVE the elements sheet they include in the collections - I totally use them up - perfect for layering :) Two collections really caught my eye this time around - one was Togetherness - so adorable . . .
and the other - Mitten Weather - the purple threw me for a bit since I usually am one to boycott purple - but I still loved it despite the purple :) So sweet & cutesy & perfect for winter/holiday scrapping!!!
Now - yesterday I gave away Halloween goodies - why not move forward a holiday to Christmas :) If you are interested in winning a Mitten Weather crafting kit as seen above, please comment with your favorite holiday movie/show. As a child my brothers & sisters & I had quite a collection of holiday movies - especially Christmas. I think my favorite would be 'Twas the Night Before Christmas - you know the cartoon with the mouse who breaks the clock & has to fix it before Christmas - love that one :) Anyways - can't wait to hear all your favs!!
ttyl - julie :)
