Are you looking for a party???? Well come on over to the SEI BLOG & join in their first ever link party.
It is super easy to join in - just link up a project that uses at least 1 SEI product :) Add the link above to your blog post (code is on their website), and leave lots of comments for the other participants :) What a great idea to share & inspire!!!
I am still working away with all sorts of projects - last minute items I am finishing up before we head out of town tomorrow again for the beach :) Tonight I am super excited to share a layout I made using the September kit from A Million Memories. I am always looking for new techniques to try on layouts - I don't remember where I saw these little 3D balls - but they are super easy to make. Maybe a tutorial in the future????
I love the way they so easily fanned out & resembled little hanging balloons or lanterns - fun stuff :)
A quick close-up on the title - doesn't Cosmo Cricket always have the best quotes :)
Have a fabulous rest of your Wednesday - I will be back tomorrow with more to share & some STASH CASH to give away!!!
Hello everyone!!! A BIG THANKS to all of you for your sweet comments & well wishes yesterday :) I finished up my third layout for Your Scrapbook Stash last night. Once again I used the adorable Midterm line by Bella Blvd. I was in love with the patterned paper that had all the talk bubbles & decided to cut a bunch of them out to create a fun border . . .
Below is a close-up on the title work. Once again I added some pen detail to the letters & had fun mixing up a bunch of the stickers from the Alpha + Bits sheet :)
A quick close-up on the border - before I began gluing these down, I drew a square on the page to help me in placing each talk bubble & to provide some pop amongst the talk bubbles.
One more close-up on the corner of my photo - Bella Blvd offers so many awesome sticker embellishments within each line - their Bella + Bits sheets are a must-have!!
Thanks so much for stopping by - check back tomorrow as I will have some work to share!!!

Looking for some great fall inspo????? Head on over to THIS POST at Work In Progress kits . . . so many awesome ideas . . . spent almost an hour last night just surfing the web, checking these out :)
As I mentioned earlier this month, Erica over at Your Scrapbook Stash sent me some FABULOUS goodies from Bella Blvd. to play with this month. I decided to dive into the adorable Midterm line & get creating . . .
I don't have any idea where my son got this recent fascination with superheroes - I never brought them up, never showed him any cartoons or books about them prior, and it was during the summer so he wasn't introduced to it by friends at school - who knows??? Here's a quick close-up on the title - love these Bella Blvd letters - backed them with just a bit of patterned paper & then added some pen detail :)
I really like the design on this one - maybe I will turn it into a sketch :) Love these layered circles . . .
I promised some STASH CASH . . . anyone interested????? I will be giving away $10 in STASH CASH to one lucky commenter - just leave a comment between now and Sunday night (10pm EST). I will post the winner tomorrow night and you can get spending!!! A BIG THANKS to Erica from Your Scrapbook Stash for these fabulous prizes!!! I still have one more to give away next week :)
Hello everyone - hope you all had a fabulous weekend - mine was jam-packed with all sorts of family fun :) We spent Saturday morning at a nearby corn maze/fall festival . . .
this pic is priceless - love it :)
check out this crazy pumpkin . . .
we headed home to spend the evening celebrating Justin's birthday . . .
Ryan worked very hard on his frame for dad . . .
and Ryan totally fell in love with taking pics himself - I had bought a disposable camera & he went to town . . . can't wait to see what we end up with :)
Although I did not get as much scrapping down as I would have liked . . . I did finish this layout up using the gorgeous September kit over at A Million Memories . . .
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the look of these layered homemade tags I made (yes I broke out the Cropadile & my eyelets) . . .
and a quick closeup on the journaling . . .
I am anxiously awaiting this . . . anyone with me?????
Check back in the next day or two as I will have more to share from my work with Your Scrapbook Stash & some more STASH CASH to give away!!!
I made it . . . through the first full week of being chauffeur extraordinaire :) Ryan had preschool 3 mornings & then one morning he had an art/music class so we were busy, busy, busy running back & forth. He LOVED school & I think we are both happy (although it is hectic) to be back in a regular schedule :) We also have done alot of decorating for fall & Halloween (yes - I know it is a bit early for Halloween but Ryan is sooooooooooooooooo excited). He helped me put together this cute Halloween banner - a pre-made kit - but super cute & easy. This is by K & Company & I got it at Michael's for 5.99 and then 40% off (with coupon).
I am on the search for some good kids crafts for the holiday so if you have any ideas or links to projects please let me know in the comments :) I am going to do some online searching myself so I will post if I find something fun :)
I did do a little surfing tonight & found an awesome & unusual artist via the Midnight Rooster Club site. The artist's name is Sophie Blackall - she is an illustrator & creates this awesome artwork based off real "missed connections" she finds on internet personal sites - how cool is that?? Here are a few of my favorites . . .
In addition, I found this fabulous musician on the Midnight Rooster site as well - Mindy Gledhill - check her out (be sure to turn off my music in the sidebar) . . .
On to the scrappy :)
I had some fun creating the other night - I thought the idea of a framed layout might be neat so I created this page . . .
It is FULL of beautiful papers & goodies from Fancy Pants new Happy Together line. I must say it is a must have - I didn't realize just how gorgeous it was until I saw it in person - WOW!!! Such a beautiful combo of blues, greens, yellows, and browns. If you look closely I created the "frame" with 4 strips of patterned paper the I punched with a border punch. Then I outlined the border design & glued it down. To create the lacing effect, I simply used a small hole punch to punch holes around the entire border. Then I laced through & tied on the left there right next to the tag.
Behind the series of pics are 2 of Fancy Pants gorgeous glitter die-cuts that coordinate with this line - love the look of them overlapped and peeking out from the pics :)
Finishing up some more guest design team projects tonight & will post them in the next day or two - maybe another STASH CASH giveway as well :) Keep checking back!!!
I am super excited to share my second project for BlueMoon Scrapbooking with you tonight :) I tend to be a layout only kind of gal - although I have dabbled in cards & altered items. This month the design team members were each given one of the new 7gypsies receipt holders to play with. I was definitely intimidated at first - but in the end I had so much fun & really enjoyed creating with it :) This is FULL of 7gypsies goodies & if you are looking for some fun, vintage-style scrapbook goodness - head on over to the BlueMoon store & get shopping!!
Here is a full pic of the hanging receipt holder . . .
And some close-ups on each of the individual holders - and yes - the last one is of me (and my two sisters) - my mother dressed us like we were on Little House on The Prairie :)
Looking for some sketch inspiration & fabulous prizes??? Here is the September sketch I created for The Scrap Room . . .
A challenge is being held right now using this sketch & check out the prize - all 3 of these paper lines!!!!!
How do you join in . . . just pop on over to The Scrap Room blog for all the details :)
Before I jump off to get some scrappin' done - a BIG THANKS for all your sweet comments & tips on ways to protect those mattresses :) I will be sure to try some of these out!! My randomly chosen winner for the $10 STASH CASH from Your Scrapbook Stash is #11 - April!!!
This morning, everything in the Bonner house seemed to align together to produce this . . .
from an early morning wake up of Ryan screaming from his urine-soaked bed to him melting down because his "puppy" & "blankie" were soaked to sleeping with a 3 year old in our bed for 2 hours to waking up with nightmares (me not him - new mommy anxiety dreams) to waking up later than planned to rushing breakfast because I had to leave by 8:30 to be at preschool on time to waiting until 10 minutes before we had to leave to get dressed to realizing I never hit the start button on the dryer last night & the clothes were still soaked (which wouldn't normally be a problem except that I'm pregnant & finding an outfit on the fly just doesn't happen) to Ryan telling me as I brush his teeth that he doesn't want to go to school because the slide on the playground is scary to him melting down (again) because he has lost his Bullseye figure from his Toy Story Lego set & the world has now ended to rushing to get to school to being 10 minutes late - ahhhhh - crazy, crazy, crazy Mondays!!! I always vowed not to be the late mom - better luck tomorrow - right ??? Well I promised some first day pics from Friday - little man was not being the most cooperative . . .
All in all the first day went well - Saturday we headed off to the Rennaisance Festival & Ryan had his first experience in face painting . . .
We had a little "cousin snuggle time" on Sunday . . .
And of course ended up here - today - in my own little "perfect storm" - by the way - the update on the mattress is that urine does seep through plastic sheeting so if you thought it was actually "leak-proof" like the package says - it's all a lie!!! Any suggestions for keeping the mattress dry in the future would be greatly appreciated :)
One successful thing today (have to always think of a positive right???) is that I figured out how to use photo booth on my mac & upload to youtube - check out my cutie - future costume model extraordinaire . . .
I promise you I did not stage this at all - nor did I teach him the side to side move.
Okay - enough about my crazy life - on to some scrappy!!!
I was totally ecstatic to be asked by Erica over at Your Scrapbook Stash to guest design this month. She runs a fabulous online store with all the latest & greatest. And . . . free shipping over $30 & there is a 20% off your entire order coupon going on right now - check it out HERE. She sent me all sorts of yummy Bella Blvd. goodies from the Hello Beautiful & Midterm line. Here is my first layout I created . . .
The pics are from our trip to the ocean this summer with our very closest friends & their adorable kids :) Ryan loves them dearly & had such an awesome time. I LOVED the strong contrast of colors in this line - so bright & cheerful!!!
Here is a close-up of the butterfly - this is from the Cute Cuts patterned paper & I decided to emboss it with my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder. Then I sanded it gently to reveal the white core of the paper. A quick easy touch to add some pizzazz to a solid paper :)
Here is a close-up on the title work - these letters are actually hand cut from a journaling block on the Borders & Blocks paper. Loved these!!!!
Oh & there will be a sketch challenge happening later this week with the corresponding sketch to this layout - here is a sneak peek of the sketch . . .
If you are a bit hesitant to work with all these little pics & are wondering sizes that will work together easily on a 12 x 12 page . . . here is another sketch with the pic measurements I used . . .
Make sure to check on their blog later this week for all the details on the challenge!!
Oh & guess what??? Erica was SO SWEET to give me some STASH CASH to give away on my blog this month - today I am giving away $10 in STASH CASH to one lucky commenter - just leave a comment between now & tomorrow night (10pm EST). I will post the winner tomorrow night & you can get spending!!!
